Bir de Ağustos ortası sıkça takip ettiğimiz New Jerseyli radyo istasyonu WFMU’nun müzik koordinatörü BrianTurner’ın programına konuk ettiği Neu’un kurucusu Michael Rotter ile yaptığı söyleşiyi dinlediğimizde aynı düşüncülere daldık. Sadece Neu’dan örnekler çalmıyor, çok yakın zamanda Rotter’in başlattığı projeden de kayıtlar dinleyebilirsiniz. Projedeki diğer müzik adamları ise Sonic Youth’un davulcusu Steve Shelley, diğeri de Sonic Youth’un çok uzun zamandır konser teknisyenliğini yapan, yani sesçileri Aaaron Turner (İstanbul’a da o gelmişti). Projenin adı Hallogallo. Fikir çok basit: Neu bestelerinden yola çıkıp onları yeniden yorumlamak ya da doğaçlamaya dayalı yeni bestelere dönüştürmek. Programı dinledikten sonra Rotter’in tatlı ve süper alçakgönüllü bir adam olduğuna karar verdik. David Bowie ile olan maceraları da çok komik, hazin olduğu kadar.
